Uruguayan surplus to requirements at San Siro.
Long-time Tottenham target Diego Forlan has been made available for transfer by Inter Milan.
The 33-year-old moved to the San Siro last summer but had a dismal year in front of goal, managing just two goals in 18 Serie A appearances.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter are inviting offers for the former Manchester United and Athletico Madrid striker, who starred for Uruguay at the 201o World Cup in South Africa but has failed to reach such peaks in Italy.
Spurs are in the market for a new striker after releasing veteran Louis Saha. The north London club hope to thrash out a deal to keep loan striker Emmanuel Adebayor at White Hart Lane but his wages are proving problematic.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy loves a bargain and may jump at the chance to complete a cut-price deal for Forlan.
