Foot Mercato are today reporting that Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner could be on his way to Schalke to replace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar who they believe could be Premier League bound with Tottenham & Newcastle United both said to be keen on the 28 year old Dutch international.
Schalke boss Huub Stevens has recently spoke of the importance of his top performers having seen Raul leave the club but it appears that the Gelsenkirchen side could well lose the other half of their top strike partnership.
Nicklas Bendtner looks likely to leave Arsenal having completed a moderately successful loan spell at Sunderland. The Danish international impressed at Euro 2012 and as such Arsene Wenger may well find it easier to garner the fee that he wishes to make from the sale of the 24 year old.
Huntelaar notched up an incredible 48 goals from 47 matches last term but has stalled on signing a new deal. A move to Tottenham or Newcastle United may well tempt the Dutchman who saw his career get back on track in Germany following tough spells at Real Madrid and AC Milan.
