Brazilian on his way to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Inter to sign right-back Douglas Maicon, beating Real Madrid and PSG.
The Brazilian international stated he was ready for a change of scenery after seven years at San Siro.
He had until now been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain and Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea have stepped up with a new proposal that has them now leading the race.

Having already brought in Marko Marin and Eden Hazard this summer, Roman Abramovich is looking likely to land experienced right back Maicon. The 30 year old Brazilian has been a big success since his move to the San Siro from Monaco, notching up over 200 appearances in five seasons at Inter Milan during which time the attack minded full-back has won four domestic titles as well as a Champions League winners medal.
The Blues were seemingly on the look out for a new right-back having opted to not offer Jose Bosingwa a new deal, though Roberto Di Matteo does have the option of playing Branislav Ivanovic in the role the Serbian is perhaps better suited to a central role.
Maicon is well known for his defensive abilities but is also not averse to scoring a long ranger cracker or two and Abramovich will hope to see Maicon snapped up to become the club’s fourth Brazilian with the likes of David Luiz, Ramires and Lucas Piazon already on the West London club’s books.
