Mexican finally set to secure White Hart Lane exit.
Dos Santos flies to London to sort out £8m move to Atletico Madrid
Midfielder Giovani dos Santos is on the verge of quitting Tottenham after being allowed to leave Mexico’s pre-Olympic training squad to sort out his future.
The 23-year-old is valued at £8million and is expected to join Atletico Madrid this weekend after flying back to London.

A move to Atletico Madrid may well help re-ignite a career that has been stagnating at Tottenham. Giovani dos Santos of course first made a name for himself at Barcelona before moving to White Hart Lane.
For some reason Harry Redknapp was never too keen on giving the Mexican international much of a chance to impress and some may have thought that the sacking of the 65 year old would give Giovani more of a shot at the North London club, but it appears that the talented youngster is still set to leave.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy appears keen to offload some of his squad players and has already sold Vedran Corluka, whilst David Bentley is being linked with a move to Fulham.
Amazingly Giovani dos Santos has managed just two Premier League starts in the four years he has been at Tottenham.
