Trotters not ready to sell Anfield target.
According to reports Bolton Wanderers are preparing for a fight with Liverpool over midfield ace Mark Davies.
It is believed that the Reds are preparing a £5 million bid for the midfielder, who is due to return with the rest of the squad for pre-season training on Thursday at Euxton.
However, Bolton News claims Wanderers will reject that offer out of hand.

This may be a lucky escape for the Anfield side as it’s questionable what the 24 year old Bolton defender has to offer Brendan Rodgers given what he currently has at his disposal by way of central midfielders.
The 24 year old former Wolves man is part defensive midfielder, able to put in a good tackle and track back, and partly an attack minded player who can move the ball forwards and occasionally grab a goal or two.
However he is not a player who will instill confidence with the club’s fanbase, who are hungry for success following a few lean years.
Dalglish spent over £120m on new players during his 18 months in charge and though some of the players he brought in are yet to make a significant impact, every signing he did bring in is superior to the Bolton man, who would surely struggle to get a spot in Liverpool’s bench, let alone their starting eleven.
Currently Rodgers can call upon the likes of Steven Gerrard, Lucas Leiva, Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Alberto Aquilani, Jay Spearing and Jonjo Shelvey to fill the club’s central midfield slots, with all seven players named a better performer than the Bolton man.
