Italian’s agent gets carried away.
Every loser wins: Balotelli is world’s first £200m footballer (claims agent)
Mario Balotelli was last night rated the world’s first £200million footballer – by his own agent.
Italian super-agent Mino Raiola gave the remarkable valuation of the Manchester City striker despite his failure to make much of an impression in Italy’s Euro 2012 Final defeat.
Raiola said: “What is Mario worth after the Euros? Well, I would not say priceless, but if I have to put a value on him, I would say 250 million Euros (£202m).
“But whatever the price, he will stay at City, 200 per cent. It is not that Mario has changed, but the way people around him now see him. That is what has changed.”

Whilst there is no denying the season Mario Balotelli has just had, winning the Premier League title and helping Italy to the Euro 2012 final. However the striker’s agent may be getting a little ahead of himself, after all we are talking about a player who isn’t even a first team regular at his club.
Last term the young forward made just 14 Premier League starts last term and Roberto Mancini is likely to stick with Sergio Aguero as his main, if not only, striker in his starting eleven.
Also the Daily Mirror’s assertion that Balotelli is the ‘first’ £200m footballer makes us wonder just how much Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo are worth?
