Sam Allardyce hopes to bring San Siro star to Upton Park this summer.
West Ham want Stankovic
Despite pledging his future to the club at the end of last season, Dejan Stankovic is the latest Inter man linked with an exit this summer.
The Nerazzurri are undergoing a period of transition this summer as they look to freshen up the playing staff as well as reduce a still sizeable wage bill.
Stankovic is the latest who is said to be heading for the door, as West Ham reportedly consider a move for the 33-year-old.
Sky Sport Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio is suggesting that the newly-returned Premier League outfit, who were paired with Clarence Seedorf last week, are interested in the Serbian international.

West Ham have been linked with a number of veterans this summer with the aforementioned Seedorf and Alessandro Del Piero being just two so it’s no huge surprise to see the Hammers now linked with a move for Dejan Stankovic, whether or not any such move is of course realistic of based in any way in relation is another matter entirely.
Inter Milan are clearly looking to streamline their squad and planning for the future having offloaded Lucio and apparently ready to do likewise with keeper Julio Cesar and Diego Forlan whilst Chelsea are keen on Maicon.
33 year old Serbian international Stankovic has completed nine seasons at Inter Milan, racking up over 300 appearances and securing five Serie A titles and a Champions League winners medals in the process. Clearly whilst the former Lazio man is in the latter stages of his career the Nerazzurri would do well to re-consider offloading the player this summer.
