Napoli eye Slovakian star.
Serie A club Napoli are preparing a surprise bid for Liverpool centre-half Martin Skrtel, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Napoli have money to spend this summer after selling star striker Ezequiel Lavezzi to mega-rich PSG over the weekend.
The Naples based club have been linked with a move for Chelsea’s Raul Meireles and Skrtel has emerged as another Premier League target.
The Slovakian is reportedly unsettled on Merseyside and has been linked with a move to Champions Manchester City as well as oil-rich Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
The 27-year-old is willing to stay at Anfield and work under new boss Brendan Rogers, however, but Napoli hope that his compatriot Marek Hamsik can persuaded his international teammate to move to Italy.
Liverpool are thought to be unwilling to listen to any offers for the skin-headed defender.
