Bhoys land custodian.
Celtic have signed Newcastle United ‘keeper Fraser Forster.
The 24-year-old has been on loan at Celtic Park for the past two seasons, making 90 appearances for Neil Lennon’s side.
The 6’7″ star came through the ranks at St James’ Park but never made a first team appearance for the Magpies.
Forster enjoyed loan spells at Stockport, Bristol Rovers and Norwich before moving north of the border.
“This is a massive club and I feel like this is a step forward in my career,” Forster told Celtic’s website.
“I want to win things as a team and improve as an individual and I think I will be able to do that at Celtic.”
Forster said he was relishing the prospect of playing in the Champions League, should Celtic progress through the qualifiers.
Forster is highly-rated in Scotland and there has been some suggestion that his form for the SPL Champions merits an England call-up.
Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson suffered from such a shortage of ‘keepers at this summer’s Euro 2012 that he drafted in 19-year-old Jack Butland, who had made just 12 appearances Cheltenham Town.
