AVB gives forward the green light.
Tottenham Hotspur will continue to pursue Marseilles forward Loic Remy after new manager Andre Villas-Boas gave the club the green light to submit an improved offer for the Frenchman.
Remy was a target for former White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp and chairman Daniel Levy has spoken to Marseilles about a deal for the 25-year-old.
Talks stalled while Spurs searched for a new manager but Villas-Boas has assured Levy that he is happy to have Remy on board and the north Londoners are ready to submit a £15 million bid for the former Nice striker.
The Portuguese will also pursue his own targets that include Real Madrid veteran Ricardo Carvalho, Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge and, primarily, Porto schemer Joao Moutinho.
Remy is understood to be keen on a move to N17. The forward, who can play through the middle or wide right, scored more headed goals than any other player in Europe last season and found the net 20 times in all competitions.
