Chelsea are considering second bid for Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle after seeing an initial £19 million offer rejected by the Bundesliga outfit.
The Blues have been tracking the German international, who was part of the squad that reached the semi-final of Euro 2012, since May and are considering returning with a higher offer next week, reports Sky Sports News (Germany).
Schurrle only arrived at Leverkusen last summer from Mainz but impressed in his debut season, scoring ten times and tallying four assists, often playing from the wing.
The 21-year-old can also play as a striker and Chelsea are believed to regard him as a more consistent option that Victor Moses who the Blues did £4 million for last week.
Schurrle is right footed by is generally deployed from the left by the German club.
Leverkusen are determined to keep hold of Schurrle but Chelsea are embarking on a major rebuilding exercise this summer and have already brought in Marko Marin and Eden Hazard for big money. An improved offer for Schurrle could set see him a the latest new face at Stamford Bridge this transfer window.
