City and Chelsea target should leave Brazil, says legend.
Brazilian legend Ronaldo has urged Manchester City and Chelsea target Neymar to leave Brazil in order to achieve his potential and challenge Leo Messi’s crown as the world’s greatest player.
The Santos starlet is widely regarded as one of the most exciting attacking talents in the world and mega-rich duo Chelsea and City are both keeping tabs on the 20-year-old.
The youngster has also been linked with La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona and Ronaldo, who player for both the Spanish clubs, believes the youngster must prove himself in Europe next.
“Messi is better than all the rest,” the World Cup winner told El Mercurio.
“Neymar is on the right track, but he still needs to find that extra bit of quality and to play well in Europe for several seasons.”
Neymar has said he is happy at Santos and there has been some speculation that he will remain with the Rio club until the 2014 World Cup in Brazil before seeking a big move to Europe.
But if the youngster takes the advice of one of Brazil’s greatest exports of the last twenty years, he could arrive in the Premier League or Spain sooner rather than later.
