Stamford Bridge owner ready to continue summer spending.
Chelsea set for America tour as Brazil ace Oscar closes in on Stamford Bridge switch
The west London club are on the brink of completing a deal for the 20-year-old Internacional midfielder after launching a mega bid for his services.
According to the Brazilian club, Chelsea are prepared to break the bank for a player who is touted as one of world football’s hottest properties.
‘I want the transfer of Oscar to be the biggest transfer deal ever in Brazilian football,’ Internacional chief Giovanni Luigi told Radio Gaucha. ‘And the Chelsea offer isn’t that far from that.’
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will bankroll a £25million transfer for a player who shot to prominence last summer when he became the first player to score a hat-trick in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup final against Portugal.

It appears that Chelsea are set to beat Tottenham to the capture of Brazilian youngster Oscar with Blues owner Roman Abramovich ready to splash out £25m on the 20 year old attacking midfielder.
White Hart Lane boss Andre Villas-Boas was hoping to beat his former club to the punch but can console himself with the fact that Spurs did snap up Gylfi Sigurdsson, who fills a similar role.
Abramovich has already bankrolled moves to sign Marko Marin and Eden Hazard this summer and continues to set about refreshing his Stamford Bridge squad ahead of an assault on the Premier League having seen his West London side fall 25 points off the pace last term.
Oscar dos Santos has enjoyed a productive last 18 months at his Porto Alegre club helping them to a Campeonato Gaúcho title. The youngster has scored 19 and assisted another 20 goals in the 70 appearances he has made for Internacional.
It’s clear that Chelsea are looking to re-shuffle their squad and inject youth into a fairly ageing squad. Didier Drogba, Jose Bosingwa and Salomon Kalou were all released and there is speculation that Florent Malouda may be on his way to Brazil this summer.
