Tevez and Kaka could join AC.
AC Milan will not sign Kaka unless the Brazilian halves his wage demands – which could make a move for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez more likely.
The Italian giants are looking to beef up their attack with Zlatan Ibrahimovic seemingly on the verge of a move to Paris Saint Germain.
And they have set their sights on Kaka, who enjoyed six years at the San Siro before moving to Real Madrid in 2009.
But with owner Silvio Berlusconi keen to reduce his squad’s wage bill, the 30-year-old has been told he will have to drop his €10m-per-year (£7.84m) wage demands if he is to return to Milan, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
And that could impact on any proposed deal for Tevez, who is wanted by Milan – but only if he fits into their wage structure.
With Roberto Mancini seemingly willing to allow the Argentine to leave, any Milan move for Kaka could complicate the Tevez deal, with the Brazilian’s wage demands likely to prove key.
With Real Madrid on the verge of a £30 million deal for Tottenham’s Luka Modric, it looks as if Kaka’s unhappy spell at the Bernebeu is reaching a conclusion, with AC Milan set to re-sign the Brazilian playmaker.
The Serie A giants are in cash after selling Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to PSG and they also look set to swoop for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez.
This could well free up a space in the City squad for Arsenal’s Robin van Persie and there’s talk that the Gunners might demand City forward Edin Dzeko in part exchange for the want-away Dutchman.
On top of that, Modric’s move to Real should see Portuguese playmaker Joao Moutinho arrive at White Hart Lane. And England striker Jermain Defoe could be another player leaving north London, with Reading said to be keen on the star.
