Carrow Road side chase Hearts centre back.
Norwich are ready to move for Hearts defender Andy Webster.
The 30-year-old was named Player of the Year at Tynecastle last season, and new manager John McGlynn will de desperate to keep hold of him.
But with just a year left on his contract, he could be available for as little as £250,000.
Chris Hughton will hope that any move to bring Andy Webster to the Premier League will fair better than the Scot’s previous move ‘down south’, during which time the Hearts man opened up a can of worms trying to cancel his contract to force a move to Wigan Athletic. The centre back ended up playing four games for the Latics before heading back to Scotland and a move to Rangers.
After an absence of four years the Dundee born defender returned to Edinburgh to re-sign for Hearts but may well be similarly tempted by a move to the English top tier now that Norwich City have apparently taken a liking to him.
Though the Canaries finished in a very healthy 12th spot last term, never really troubled by relegation, they did suffer more than a few defensive lapses and the East Anglian side and only the three sides who were relegated to the Championship conceded more goals than Norwich City and therefore any move to beef up the back-line would be wise.
