Ligue 1 sides look to lure veteran back to France.
Lille and Marseille are hoping to persuade former Tottenham striker Louis Saha to return to his homeland as the free agent ponders his next move.
Saha, 33, left Tottenham at the end of last season after completing a six-month stay at the club.
The 33-year-old, who has also had spells at Newcastle United, Fulham, Manchester United and Everton, recently revealed on his Twitter page that he is not seeking a club in France.
However, according to French newspaper Le Parisien, Ligue 1 sides Lille and Marseille are plotting moves to lure the France international back to Ligue 1 for the first time since 2000, when he left Metz for Fulham.
Though Louis Saha is not looking to return to Ligue 1 he may well re-consider given the calibre of club looking to snap him up, after all Lille can offer the former Everton and Tottenham forward the chance to take part in the Champions League and Marseille are surely a big enough club to tempt the French international veteran into changing his mind.
Tottenham opted to not offer the 33 year old a new contract this summer and as yet it appears no other Premier League offers are on the table and this may well force Saha to consider other alternatives.
The Paris born striker has had his fair share of injuries over recent seasons but has still managed to notch up over 400 appearances during the course of his decade plus in England, scoring over 140 goals in the process.
