Rossoneri consider bid for Brazilian.
AC Milan are thought to be preparing a bid for Tottenham Hotspur enforcer Sandro.
Representatives of the Serie A giants watched as the 23-year-old scored for the Brazilian Olympic side against Team GB on friday night and are willing to pay £15 million for the star.
The Brazilian has struggled to hold down a regular starting place in N17, amid a string of niggling injuries and competition from Scott Parker.
Sandro arrived in north London in the summer of 2010 after helping Internacional to the Copa Libertadores title. After a slow start, he came into his own in both legs of Spurs’ Champions League knock-out win over Milan. Playing a pivotal role just in front of the back four, he was man of the match in the second leg at White Hart Lane.
The Rossoneri been monitoring Sandro for the past two seasons and are now ready to move for the 6’2″ powerhouse. Milan released a number of ageing players at the end of last season, including Dutch central midfield pair Mark van Bommel and Clarence Seedorf and want a fresh presence in the centre of the park.
New Spurs head-coach Andre Villas-Boas is keen to hold onto the deep-lying midfielder but wants to raise funds to sign Porto playmaker Joao Moutingo and Lyon ‘keeper Hugo Lloris so may be tempted to consider Milan’s offer.
