Emirates Stadium side keen on La Liga duo.
Arsenal are ready to shock Spurs with a bid for long-time White Hart Lane transfer target Santi Cazorla.
Spanish newspaper AS says Arsene Wenger is mulling over a move for the player Andre Villas Boas had lined up to replace Luka Modric.
And with the Modric deal set to rumble on all summer, now could be the right time for the Gunners to strike for a player who could fill in for Theo Walcott, should he choose to leave the Emirates.
Since he is likely to cost only £10m, he could become a top priority for Arsenal, who are also eyeing his international team-mate Fernando Llorente.

Santi Cazorla is a very talented player who is precisely the type of player Arsene Wenger would target, comfortable on the ball, quick-thinking and a good distributor of the ball. As this source points out, the Malaga man could be a possible replacement for Theo Walcott, if indeed the North London side look to offload the England international in preference to giving in to the 23 year old’s wage demands.
27 year old Cazorla had a fine first term at Malaga, completing his highest La Liga season goal tally in the process, but if indeed the club’s Qatari owners feel they need to cut costs then perhaps the Spanish international would be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Perhaps Llorente is seen as a potential striking option should Robin Van Persie leave this summer. Though the Gunners have brought in Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski Arsenal could well still need other options up front if they were to lose their Dutch goal machine.
However, looking to snap up Athletic Bilbao forward Fernando Llorente could be an entirely different kettle of fish. The giant Spanish international forward will not come cheap and will certainly break Arsenal’s transfer record spend if they are to have any chance of luring the Pamplona born marksman from the San Mames club.
