Croatian to be fined and forced to stay.
Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy is so furious with Luka Modric that is ready to block the Croatian’s dream move to Real Madrid.
Levy will also hit Modric with his third fine in four days if he fails to turn up for training today, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 26-year-old midfield schemer refused to train for Tottenham over the weekend as he angles for a big money move to Real Madrid.
Spurs value Modric at £35 million but the Spanish giants are unwilling to pay more than £27 million, with neither club willing to back down.
Levy has reportedly already slapped two fines on the former Dynamo Zagreb star, totalling £80,000, and is ready to punish Modric again if he continues to refuse to train.
The Tottenham supremo is currently in the USA caring for his ill wife, rather than with the squad on their pre-seaoson tour of the States.
And Levy is now reportedly ready to block Modric’s move to Real Madrid and tell the Croatia international to either knuckle down and train or rot in the reserves.
Spurs forward Rafa van der Vaart admitted that he has tried to act as peacemaker between his team-mate and the club.
Van der Vaart said: “I went to his house and spoke to him after training and told him of what happened to to me when I wanted to sign for Real.
“I’ve been one of the closest people to Modric in the dressing room and I feel for him. It is in a difficult situation.
“The president is angry, but he is also very upset with what is happening. I think everything will be fixed in three or four days.”
