Spurs supremos to thrash out a deal later this week.
Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal Lyon ‘keeper Hugo Lloris.
The north Londoners have seen two bids for the France captain, believed to be around the £13 million mark, rejected, with the Ligue 1 club thought to be holding out for closer to £16 million.
Spurs are desperate to land Lloris who they believe can replace 41-year-old Brad Friedel and be their number one for the next decade.
With the first team squad and chairman Daniel Levy in the USA, Tottenham are set to send representatives to France this week in an attempt to thrash out a deal with Lyon.
Lloris has made over 150 appearances for Lyon and is the skipper of the national team. He is believed to be keen to join the Premier League giants, who will allow Carlo Cudicini to join Watford if the Frenchman does complete a move.
