Stamford Bridge side make new increased bid for Latics attacker.
Chelsea are preparing a final £7.5m offer for wantaway Wigan’s Victor Moses, 21.
The European champions have had three bids turned down with Wigan holding out for £10m.
Moses has a year left on his contract but Wigan would be due compensation if he leaves next season given he is under 24.

Chelsea are clearly upping their game in their pursuit of Wigan attacker Victor Moses, but will it be enough to tempt the Latics into selling their prized asset? Roberto Martinez will of course be loathed to sell the young Nigerian but will also not want to be left with an unhappy player come September 1st and will also want to see any potential deal struck early enough for him to re-invest the funds in the transfer market.
The Blues have already spent upwards of £60m this summer having already landed Marko Marin, Eden Hazard and Brazilian starlet Oscar but Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich has not finished flexing his financial muscles and knows that he needs to continue to invest in order to help his West London side to claw back the 25 point deficit between Chelsea’s sixth place finish last term ad the Premier League summit.
Moses impressed greatly in the final weeks of the last campaign, putting in consistent displays that helped Wigan Athletic steer clear of the drop zone.
Chelsea may not feel that £10m is a fair price for a player who they can pick up for the cost of a tribunal payment in a year’s time. The Blues clearly see Victor Moses as a long term prospect and therefore may well be ready to wait another year in preference to further increasing their bid.
