Blackburn also keen on Scotch hit-man.
Fulham have seen a £2 million bid for Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes rejected, while Blackburn are also keen on the prolific Scot.
With Clint Dempsey set to join Liverpool in the coming weeks, the Cottagers are already searching for a replacement and have identified 22-year-old goal-machine Rhodes as the man to fill the American’s boots, reports the Daily Mail.
Fulham saw a £2 million bid for Rhodes, who bagged 40 goals for the Yorkshire outfit last season, rejected with the Terriers holding firm on their £7 million valuation of the Scotland international.
Fulham are set to return with an improved offer for Rhodes but will face competition from Everton and Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers for the forward’s signature, however.
Everton are looking to add to their front-line after missing out on Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega – who joined Fulham – while Blackburn confirmed on Tuesday that they were in the market for two new strikers after Leon Best was ruled out for six months.
Rovers manager Steve Kean is closing in on James Vaughan of Norwich but also wants Rhodes.
It is understood that Huddersfield will consider any offer around the £7 million mark for the powerful front-man.
