Upton Park boss keen on Stamford Bridge youngster.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce will look to lure Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku to Upton Park with the promise of first team football. The Belgian youngster has failed to make an impact following his big money move to Stamford Bridge and the West Ham manager is ready to approach the West London club in the pursuit of securing the teenager on a season long loan deal.
West Ham attempted to sign Liverpool forward Andy Carroll last month, a deal that the Anfield side agreed upon, but the England international turned down the offer and now Allardyce has turned his attention to the Blues youngster.
Lukaku failed to hit the back of the net in 12 appearances for Chelsea last term, albeit most coming from the bench, and the former Anderlecht is keen to secure first team football in order to show Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo what he is capable of.
Sam Allardyce is looking for a strong physical presence to spearhead his attack and feels that Lukaku could make quite an impression at West Ham as they look to steer clear of relegation having secured an instant return to the top flight last season.
Chelsea spent £18m on Lukaku last term, albeit a portion of that fee is dependent on other factors, and the Stamford Bridge side may feel that a loan move could help to acclimatise to life in the English top tier.
