Nou Camp side want Emirates Stadium star.
Barcelona will make a surprise £15million bid to try to sign Alex Song from Arsenal and reunite the midfielder with Cesc Fabregas at the Nou Camp.
Just 12 months after wrestling Fabregas from the Emirates, Barca are now prepared for another battle with the Gunners over Song.
But Song’s Arsenal contract does not expire until 2015 and manager Arsene Wenger wants to keep him at the Emirates.

By all accounts Barcelona are after an all purpose midfielder to replace Seydou Keita, who left the Nou Camp this summer to join Chinese side Dalian Aerbin, and boss Tito Vilanova has set his sights on Arsenal’s Alex Song.
Arsene Wenger will be loathed to lose the Cameroon international, who has matured into a more rounded performer, able to get stuck in with tough tackling as well as being able to help the Gunners make forward advances. Indeed the 24 year old racked up a very impressive 14 assists last term, though some feel this change of direction has left the North London side lacking steel in the centre of the park.
Song has racked up 204 appearances over the past seven seasons but has achieved no tangible success over that period which may well make a move to the Catalan giants all the more enticing.
Arsenal did of course lose Cesc Fabregas to the La Liga side last summer and Wenger will surely look to fight off advances for Song, though the French boss has been strongly linked with interest in Rennes enforcer Yann M’Vila, who could be considered a potential replacement for the former Bastia man.
