Ewood Park side target Stadium of Light forward.
FRAZIER CAMPBELL is a target for Championship newcomers Blackburn Rovers.
But Rovers’ chances of luring Sunderland’s England striker away from Wearside are slim, with Black Cats boss Martin O’Neill intent on strengthening his attacking options during the transfer window – not weakening them.
Blackburn manager Steve Kean is looking for reinforcements now that former Newcastle striker Leon Best has been ruled out long-term with knee ligament damage.
Kean has failed with bids for Huddersfield’s Jordan Rhodes and West Brom’s Simon Cox, and is now considering a £2m offer for Campbell.

Frazier Campbell has seen his career decimated by injuries over the past couple of seasons and a move to Ewood Park may well be one the England international considers. The Sunderland man hasn’t proved all that effective when fully fit and his record of nine goals in 57 matches probably doesn’t do the striker justice.
Steve Kean will be more than aware that the 24 year old helped steer Hull City into the top tier whilst enjoying a season long loan spell at the club and the under-fire Blackburn Rovers boss is keen to add to his squad ahead of the new season.
The Scot has already brought in Fulham veteran Danny Murphy, Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes as well as Dickson Etuhu and Leon Best.
Though Martin O’Neill’s side is light on attacking options the Black Cats boss may not stand in the way of Campbell’s potential move to Blackburn Rovers where he could secure regular first team football.
