Old Trafford forward set to end bench bound nightmare.
MANCHESTER UNITED ace Dimitar Berbatov is on the verge of a move Zenit St Petersburg, according to reports.
The 31-year-old has been told he has little chance of first-team football at Old Trafford next season.
The former Tottenham star has previously expressed his frustration that United have slapped a £10m price on his head.

A move away from Man United is perhaps in the best interests of both the Old Trafford club and the Bulgarian international but any deal to sell the 31 year old will of course depend on interested parties putting in a sufficient bid and this source believes that Russian side Zenit St Petersburg are ready to do just that.
The former Tottenham man has actually been in fine goal-scoring form when called upon, netting 20 goals from 23 Premier League starts during Man United’s 2010/11 title success and then scoring seven times last term despite being handed a paltry five starts.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been reticent about selling the talented forward as he has already felt the need to release Michael Owen and watched as Javier Hernandez has gone seriously off the boil.
However if a decent fee is paid then he will surely complete the sale of Berbatov, who has just a year to run on his current contract which Man United chose to enact so that they could secure a good sum for the forward.
