Brazilian unlikely to return to San Siro.
AC Milan have all but admitted defeat in their attempts to re-sign Kaka from Real Madrid, after Adriano Galliani said the deal was ‘almost impossible’.
The Brazilian playmaker has been told he can leave the Spanish capital this summer after three disappointing years at the Bernebeu.
Milan have held talks over bringing Kaka back to San Siro but Real are demanding over £20m for the 30-year-old, with the Serie A club favouring a season-long loan move.
The deal is further complicated by Kaka’s reported £7.8m per year salary.
After watching Kaka inspire Real to a 5-1 win over Milan in pre-season on Wednesday, the Italians’ vice-president Galliani conceded a deal was unlikely.
“The operation for Kaka is objectively very, very difficult,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It is almost impossible. Costs are high, salaries are very high.”
Meanwhile, Real coach Jose Mourinho claimed he would be happy if Kaka remained at Los Blancos for the coming season.
“I’m happy if Kaka stays and am happy if he wants to go. In football it is important that players play where they want to.
“He is better prepared to compete at the highest levels. If he wants to stay then perfect. If he leaves then perfect, but we do not want to give him away for free.
“If [Milan] want him, they will have to pay for him.”
