Belgian’s agent in touch with another Premier League club.
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukuaku will spend a season on loan in the Premier League but not with Fulham, according to his agent.
The 19-year-old Belgian had been linked with a move across west London to Craven Cottage, after growing frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities at Chelsea.
But the former Anderlecht’s star’s agent, Christophe Henrotay, has sais his client will not be joining Martin Jol’s side, with West Brom now the favourites to land Lukaku.
“I can assure you that Romelu is not going to Fulham,” Henrotay is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
“I am currently finalising the details with another Premier League club.
“Romelu will go on loan. I cannot say which team he will join or when it will happen, but things are progressing.”
Lukaku made just one Premier League start last season – on the final day against already-relegated Blackburn – and controversially said he felt no joy at Chelsea’s historic FA Cup and Champions League double, because he did not play a significant part in either triumph.
