Forward makes Spanish switch after 7 abject years at Arsenal.
Mexican starlet Carlos Vela has finally completed his move from Arsenal to Real Sociedad.
The youngster spent last season on loan at the Spanish club, impressing with 12 goals in 35 La Liga appearances.
Arsenal confirmed last month that the Mexican international was in Spain discussing a permanent move to Sociedad and confirmed on Friday it had now been completed.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Carlos for his contribution to the club and wish him well for his future career,” read a statement on Arsenal’s official website.
Vela arrived at Arsenal in 2005 but made just 29 Premier League appearances during his time with the Gunners, scoring 3 times.
He was frequently loaned out and had spells with Osasuna and West Brom before moving to Spain.
The 23-year-old has 35 caps for Mexico and has scored nine times for his country.
