Five clubs now battling it out for Real’s Sahin.
The race for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin took another twist as it emerged that AC Milan are interested in the Turkish star.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United have all been linked with Sahin in recent weeks, with the Gunners thought to be close to finalising a season-long loan move for the 23-year-old.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, meanwhile, is hopeful that his close links to Real Madrid head-coach Jose Mourinho can help the Reds beat the Gunners to a deal.
But Milan have now thrown their hat into the ring, reports the Daily Mail, are interested in bringing the former Borussia Dortmund player to the San Siro.
Real Madrid are keen to offload Sahin, who played 16 minutes as a sub as the Spaniards battered Milan 5-1 in a friendly on Wednesday, to make way for Tottenham’s Luka Modric.
Spurs have rejected the chance to take the Turkish international on loan as part of a deal for the Croatian but retain an interest in a separate transfer.
