Etihad Stadium side agree fee for Goodison Park youngster.
Everton’s official website have confirmed that the Toffees have agreed a deal to sell Jack Rodwell to Man City.
The 21 year old is said to be set to complete a £15m move to the Etihad Stadium after a medical the England international is due to undertake today.
The young Southport midfielder has racked up 109 appearances for the Goodison Park side since his debut in December 2007.
The signing will be Roberto Mancini’s first of the summer and comes just before his Man City side take on Chelsea in the FA Community Shield.
One would imagine that Rodwell would struggle at first to secure a regular first team spot at his new club though clearly he has been purchased with the long term future of Man City in mind. It may prove a tough task to unseat either of Mancini’s first choice central midfielders Gareth Barry and Yaya Toure.
