Bernabeu youngster set to make Emirates Stadium move.
According to Spanish source AS Arsenal are set to complete the loan signing of Nuri Sahin this week.
The two sides have reportedly been in talks to negotiate a deal for the past two weeks and any move to the Emirates Stadium will not be affected by Real Madrid’s ongoing pursuit of Luka Modric. Jose Mourinho doesn’t appear to have a great deal of faith in the Turkish international and may well feel the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is in dire need of regular first team football.
The 23 year old currently vies for a place in a Real Madrid first team line-up with a number of top players with the likes of Xabi Alonso, Mesut Ozil, Kaka, Esteban Granero standing in Sahin’s way.
Though Arsene Wenger has brought in Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla this summer the Arsenal manager clearly felt that the chance to bring in Sahin was too good to ignore. The talented youngster was considered one of the hottest prospects in Europe during his Borussia Dortmund pomp but a move to Real Madrid has failed to work out for the German born midfielder.
Sahin made just four La Liga appearances last term as Real Madrid edged to their first domestic title in four seasons.
