Dos Santos finally set to leave Lane.
Inter Milan are closing in on a deal for Tottenham midfielder Giovani Dos Santos.
The Mexican winger has failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane during his four year stay, starting less than 20 Premier League matches amid three different spells out on loan.
Dos Santos was signed by Juande Ramos from Barcelona in 2008 but fell out of favour when the Spaniard was replaced by Harry Redknapp.
New head-coach Andre Villas-Boas appeared set to give the 23-year-old a fresh start at White Hart Lane but, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are close to finalising a deal.
The he Nerazzurri’s sporting director Marco Branca has flown to England in order to wrap up a deal for the Olympic Gold medalist, who is consistently excellent internationally despite his lack of game-time in north London.
Spurs are thought to be demanding a fee of around £6m for Dos Santos, who has just one year remaining on his current deal at the club.
Villas-Boas is interested in signing Inter’s unwanted goalkeeper Julio Cesar but it is thought that both clubs are happy to keep the deals separate.
