Hughton eyes duo.
Norwich boss Chris Hughton is hopeful of landing Blackburn ‘keeper Mark Bunn and former Man City left-back Javier Garrido.
The Canaries manager has admitted to enquiring about £500,000-rated Bunn and Lazio’s Garrido but says they are just two names on a long list of transfer targets.
Norwich are in the market for a new left-back following the summer departure of Adam Drury to Leeds and former Newcastle boss Hughton says he is interested in landing Garrido on a season-long loan deal.
“He is one we are aware of. I can confirm there has been some contact between the two clubs and he is a player we do like,” Hughton told Sky Sports.
“When there is something concrete and official to be said we’ll say it.”
Bunn, meanwhile, would provide competition for new England international John Ruddy and would allow Hughton to loan out young custodians Declan Rudd and Jed Steer.
“It is an area that I would like to bring in someone and that is not detrimental to the two young keepers we have got here,” said Hughton.
“We will look at the opportunity to get one of them out on loan to get valuable experience.”
