Fernandes quiet on move for full-back.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has refused to comment on speculation that the Hoops have signed ex-Chelsea full-back Jose Bosingwa.
The Portuguese free agent has reportedly agreed a deal with the Loftus Road club, after he was released by Chelsea in June.
But while Fernandes admitted an interest in the 29-year-old, the Malaysian refused to confirm if he had joined the club.
Asked if there was an update on the Bosingwa deal, Fernandes told Sky Sports: “None at the moment. I just focus on what we have at the moment.
“We are still looking. We are still hoping to strengthen one or two areas.”
Fernandes added: “He is one of many we have talked about. I’m not exactly sure where we are on that, so let’s see.”
QPR have already signed the likes of former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung, highly-rated winger Junior Hoilett, Rob Green and Fabio in a productive summer for boss Mark Hughes.
The club narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of last season and Hughes has stressed the need for significant reinforcements to the squad this summer.
Rangers remain interested in Tottenham defender William Gallas, after the north London club confirmed the Frenchman was free to leave White Hart Lane.
