Emirates Stadium side close in on Bernabeu youngster.
Arsenal will confirm the loan signing of Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin in the next 24 hours.
The Turkey international has been on manager Arsene Wenger’s radar all summer but the Frenchman ramped up his interest after Alex Song made it clear he wanted to join Barcelona.

Having seen his Arsenal side fail to break down Sunderland yesterday, Arsene Wenger may well have felt more urgency was needed to seal a deal to bring in Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin to the Emirates Stadium.
The 23 year has also been chased by Liverpool and no doubt the Turkish international is keen to make any move that could help secure regular first team football having spent most of his first season at Real Madrid warming the bench, managing just four La Liga appearances last term as Jose Mourinho’s side romped to the title.
Wenger has already brought in three players who help improve the club’s attacking third; Sani Cazorla, Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, and some may have expected the Gunners boss to target a more defensive midfield option having lost Alex Song, which may lead some to believe that even after the probable loan signing of Sahin, another Arsenal addition may be in the offing.
