Stamford Bridge side continue chase to land new striker signing.
CHELSEA are still hoping to land Napoli star Edinson Cavani, after reportedly re-entering talks over the hit-man.
The 25-year-old has been valued at close to £40 million by the Serie A side, with Blues owner Roman Abramovich reluctant to meet such a fee.

Fernando Torres drew a blank away at Wigan Athletic, which may well have sparked a further push to finally bring striking support to the West London club. However if Roman Abramovich is not going to meet the £40m valuation then there seems little chance Napoli will see their prized asset.
Edinson Cavani may well be the ideal man to replace Didier Drogba at Stamford Bridge but he won’t come cheaply. Even though the Serie A side did elect to sell Argentine forward Ezeqiuel Lavezzi to PSG any move to lose another big name would surely only occur if an offer met their valuations.
The Uruguayan international has netted 66 goals in two seasons at the San Paolo but has also seen his Naples side fail to secure a Champions League berth for this campaign and that drop in income may well have led to the Lavezzi sale and Cavani himself may well be open to a move to the West London club.
Roman Abramovich has already flexed his financial muscles this term by spending over £60m on Oscar, Eden Hazard and Marko Marin so the Russian billionaire may well consider upping his offer in order to get his man.
