Stadium of Light & Upton Park boss’s keen on Baggies forward.
SUNDERLAND and West Ham are ready to lock horns over Peter Odemwingie after both clubs expressed an interest in the striker.
Odemwingie was the subject of a bid from Qatari club Al-Gharafa earlier this summer, which was rejected by the Premier League club.

Both Sunderland and West Ham could do with a boost of firepower and Peter Odemwingie has proven Premier League credentials.
The Nigerian international racked up 15 goals from 29 starts in his debut season at the Hawthorns and 10 in 25 last term. The former Lokomotiv Moscow man also scored in the Baggies opening win over Liverpool and may be a player that Steve Clarke would be loathed to lose.
However there has been speculation that the forward had fallen out with the 31 year old over the summer and this may well be the reason for apparent advances for the West Brom forward.
Martin O’Neill continues to chase Steven Fletcher but appears close to securing the Wolves man but may feel he needs more than one new striker, though the Black Cats boss did also land free agent Louis Saha this month.
West Ham have been linked with moves to sign Andy Carroll and Sam Allardyce may feel that he can lure Odemwingie to London though clearly after West Brom romped past Liverpool on the opening day of the season it could prove tricky to convince the forward to leave for a newly promoted side.
