Carrow Road side plot ambitious move to sign Anderlecht midfielder.
Sky Sports sources understand Norwich are in talks to sign Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia on loan from Anderlecht.
The 26-year-old has been linked with numerous Premier League clubs in recent seasons but looks set to join the Canaries on a season-long deal after spending six years with the Belgian club.
Biglia is a deep-lying playmaker of some repute and was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier this summer so would represent something of a coup for manager Chris Hughton.
The player himself recently indicated that European football was a priority.
“I can leave for €8million (£6.3m) in the current market. I agreed this transfer fee myself,” said the Argentina international earlier this week.

There has been much speculation that Lucas Biglia had caught the interest of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger but not move was forthcoming and interest from Norwich City seems very real and if the Canaries did manage to pull off the loan signing of the Anderlecht man then it could be considered something of a coup.
Biglia joined Anderlecht six years ago and has been a consistent force in the Brussels based side’s midfield, racking up over 250 appearances in all competitions and securing three domestic titles. His form helped force a spot in the Argentine national team set-up last year and clearly a high-profile move would further the chances of process on the international stage.
Carrow Road boss Chris Hughton may be looking for that extra injection of quality to help boost his squad as the look to build on last term’s solid 12th place finish.
