White Hart Lane side alerted by possible Old Trafford sales.
Spurs on alert as Man United prepare to offload Nani and Anderson
Manchester United are prepared to consider offers of £15million for Brazil midfielder Anderson and winger Nani as they seek to recoup some money after a summer of heavy spending.
Tottenham are among the clubs who could be interested in the 24-year-old Anderson should they fail to land top target Joao Moutinho from Porto.
Nani is also vulnerable, having failed to agree a new contract with two years left on his deal. The Portugal winger was left out of the win over Fulham.
Benfica have expressed an interest but United would be prepared to sell him to a Premier League rival and Spurs are monitoring the situation, even though they also have other targets, with manager Andre Villas-Boas making a top-quality midfielder his priority.

Andre Villas-Boas may be concerned as his side’s early season form, one point from two matches, and could feel the need to bring in a top quality midfielder to help offset the probable loss of Luka Modric who is edging ever nearer a move to the Bernabeu.
The Croatian midfielder may well have not signed for Real Madrid yet but his absence from first team affairs is already in full swing and moves to bring in possible alternatives have thus far failed to bear fruit and perhaps one of the Man United stars named by this source could fill the void.
24 year old Brazilian Anderson has had a couple of lean seasons but had impressed Sir Alex Ferguson enough in pre-season to be handed his first Premier League start since October 2011 when he was handed a spot in Man United starting eleven against Fulham yesterday.
The box to box performer may well be a player Ferguson considers offers for but may not wish to do so in this transfer window given the defensive injury crisis the club is experiencing, leaving Micheal Carrick having to fill in at the back.
Contract talks with Nani have stalled once again and the fact that Portuguese international was not even in the Man United squad to face Fulham is perhaps a signal that Sir Alex Ferguson has lost patience with the winger and could arguably afford to cash in on the attacker if the right offer was made.
Arguably he isn’t a player Villas-Boas needs as he has a fair few wide options but the White Hart Lane boss could harbour intentions to use the Man United man in an advanced central midfield role, but any move for Nani wouldn’t come cheap and perhaps such a move would only be possible once the North London club had cashed in on Modric.
