Bhoys rule out move for Owen.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has ruled out a move for free agent Michael Owen, reports Goal.com.
The former England striker is without a club after being released by Manchester United in June and has been linked with moves to Stoke City, Everton and Celtic.
The 30-year-old is adamant he still has what it takes to perform at the highest level and rejected a lucrative switch to the Middle East last month. It is unclear whether Owen would consider a move to SPL but with the season already in full-swing his options are dwlinding fast.
And 41-year-old Bhoys boss Lennon ruled out a move for the veteran forward, who boasts Real Madrid and Liverpool among his former employers.
Lennon did confirm that Celtic are keeping tabs on Auxerre centre-back Willy Boly and Rosenborg midfielder Markus Henriksen, however.
Stoke City could return with an offer to Owen after he rejected a one-year pay-as-you-play fornight earlier this month, insisting that he deserved a longer, more lucrative deal.
