Emirates Stadium winger staying for the time being.
Sky Sports sources understand Arsenal and Theo Walcott have reached a short-term agreement which means he won’t leave the club this week.
Walcott met with Arsenal on Wednesday in a meeting which included manager Arsene Wenger to discuss his future.
Reports had claimed that The Gunners were ready to sell the England winger this week, after failing to agree a new contract with him.

Discussions over Theo Walcott’s future have rumbled on for months but apparently the North London club have reached an ‘agreement’ with the 23 year old winger though it appears that this ‘agreement’ may just be a short-term fix to a long running problem.
This source states that all sides have come to an impasse but that the England international will not leave the Emirates Stadium this month. However that does not mean that Walcott has signed a new long term deal and this whole can of worms may well open up again if a deal hasn’t been agreed ahead of the January transfer window.
The former Southampton man will be free to leave Arsenal next summer and the chances of that happening will increase exponentially week on week. Having already lost the services of two first team regulars in Robin Van Persie and Alex Song, Arsene Wenger will not want to complete an unwanted hat-trick and may have felt that a short term fix was preferable to continuing the risk of a sale during the current transfer window.
Though Walcott has failed to deliver on his obvious potential the young winger is clearly still a player Wenger greatly values but the wide-man’s wage demands have seemingly been such that a deal could not be easily reached between the player and the Gunners.
