Toffees looking to add versatile Central American.
Everton are confident of completing a £5m deal to sign Costa Rica international Bryan Oviedo from Copenhagen before Friday’s transfer deadline, according to the BBC.
The versatile 22-year-old is also being tracked by West Brom but Toffees boss David Moyes has watched Oviedo several times and has beaten the Baggies to a deal.
The Danes are resigned to losing the left-sider, who can play in both defence and midfield after failing to reach the Champions League group stage. Copenhagen were beaten by French outfit Lille in the final qualifying round on Wednesday.
Oviedo is set to be Moyes’ fourth signing of the summer, after the Scot landed Steven Pienaar, Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas.
The youngster joined Copenhagen in 2010 and has made over 30 league appearances for the club, scoring twice. He has 13 caps for Costa Rica.
Everton have started the campaign impressively, winning both their opening two matches against Manchester United and Aston Villa.
