Stamford Bridge and White Hart Lane rivals chase Marseille forward.
TOTTENHAM and Chelsea were last night locked in a £15million battle for France striker Loic Remy.
Both London clubs have moved for the 25-year-old France striker ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline as they search for an affordable frontman.
Spurs watched Remy at the weekend and have turned to the Frenchman as an alternative to Willian after Shakhtar Donetsk put a £20m price tag on the Brazilian.

Both Tottenham and Chelsea have been linked with a myriad of striking targets this summer and now it turns out, according to this source at least, that both sides are keen on Marseille forward Loic Remy.
The French international has been a consistent force for the Stade Velodrome side over the past two seasons, netting 37 goals, but Marseille’s tenth place finish last term could cause the former Nice man to consider his options. A move to the Premier League could tempt the 25 year old.
Chelsea would appear to be a more tempting option for the speedy forward, especially as the Blues have Champions League football to offer Remy, however the Marseille man could be more likely to secure regular first team football at Tottenham, where Andre Villas-Boas only has two recognised senior strikers in the form of Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe.
Remy is a regular in the French national team set-up, collecting 17 caps and netting four goals in the process.
