Old Trafford side keen on Internacional sharp shooter.
Manchester United are considering a January move for Brazil striker Leandro Damiao.
Tottenham failed in a £20m bid for Damiao last week while the 23-year-old was offered to Liverpool on loan but the deal was considered too expensive.
United held talks over Damiao in February and intermediaries met his representatives in Sao Paulo Airport on Monday to outline a proposal for January.

It had looked like Leandro Damiao was closing in on a move to White Hart Lane this summer but Internacional put to high an asking price on the 23 year old and a move did not come to fruition.
The Brazilian international impressed many with his displays during the 2012 Olympic football tournament, where his six goals led Leandro to the top-scorer spot. The powerfully built forward has netted 70 goals in 119 appearances for Internacional and appears ready to make the inevitable move to Europe.
However it is perhaps surprising that Sir Alex Ferguson would express an interest in Leadro Damiao given the striking options he currently has in his Old Trafford squad.
Having signed Robin Van Persie the Scot now has a quartet of talented internationals, of varying ages, with Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez all on hand to provide Ferguson with striking options to help mount challenges on multiple fronts.
Therefore interest in Damiao is odd to say the least, especially, as this source points out, if such a move was made in January.
