Premier League trio eyeing Frenchman.
Everton, Aston Villa and Fulham are interested in signing Bordeaux midfielder Yoan Gouffran, writes the Daily Mirror.
The 26-year-old is in the final year of his contract in the south of France and could be available for as little as £3m in January, with the Ligue 1 outfit keen not to lose him for nothing next summer.
Everton considered a bid for Gouffran this August but were put off by Bordeaux’s £5m asking-price. The Toffees could now return with a fresh cut-price bid in the new year.
The pacey midfielder has been with Bordeaux since arriving from Caen in 2008 but is understood to be keen for a fresh challenge and would consider a move to the Premier League.
Gouffran can operate as a support striker, on the right-wing or even at right-back and his versatility has been a useful asset at Bordeaux.
David Moyes believes the rapid Frenchman can add some much-need width to his Everton side but will face competition from Fulham and Villa for the former under-21 international.
