According to Sky Sports Italia AC Milan youngster M’Baye Niang has fallen foul of Italian police.
The teenager was reportedly stopped by police whilst he was driving the streets of Milan but was unable to provide the officers with his driving license at which point the former Caen starlet, who came close to signing for Everton, decided it was a good idea to pretend to be team-mate Bakaye Traore.
The police then accompanied the French Under 21 international to the hotel where he currently resides, clearly suspicious of the 17 year old’s claim only to then bump into the aforementioned Mali international at the hotel.
It’s worth noting that Traore is eight years older than Niang and also worth wondering just how long the new signing was hoping to fool the authorities.
Traore may well not have been all that pleased that his team-mate opted to impersonate him whilst dealing with a criminal matter and some sources appear to be willing to concede that AC Milan have their very own Mario Balotelli on their hands, as this type of behaviour would be right down the Man City striker’s crazy street.
