Yorkshire duo leading chase for Malian.
Leeds United and Derby are among a host of Championship clubs interested in Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe, reports Sky Sports.
The 32-year-old Malian is available on loan after being left out of Stoke’s 25 man Premier League squad, with new signing Michael Owen claiming a place at the eleventh hour at the expense of the 32-year-old.
Sidibe has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and has previously suffered two torn achilles tendons and a dislocated knee cap, keeping him out of action since August 2010.
Stoke have stuck with Sidibe as boss Tony Pulis is a huge fan of the former Gillingham striker.
The now-fully fit striker is keen for a loan move, with Leeds and Derby likely to be joined in the hunt by Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley.
The 6’4″ forward has previously admitted that he had considered retiring from football but is now keen to play on for at least one more season.
