Club Brugge tell the Toffees to renew their bid in January if they want the player.
Belgian side Club Brugge have told Everton that they will have to agree a new deal in January for midifelder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe after failing to get the deal finalised before the deadline of the summer transfer window.
Everton had agreed a loan move for the Belgian midfielder, who has 3 caps for his national side, on transfer deadline day but they were unable to process the relevant documents before the window slammed shut, meaning the player remained with Club Brugge.
The Toffees had hoped that the deal they agreed then would still be in place come January, allowing the 23-year-old to make the move to Merseyside in the mid-season transfer window, but these hopes have now been dismissed by Brugge, who put the blame for the failure of the transfer in the summer at Everton’s door.
The manager of Club Brugge, Vincent Mannaert, has also claimed that the player is now settled at the club and is not demanding the move to Everton.
Odjidja-Ofoe has made 117 appearances for Club Brugge, contributing 14 goals.
