Anfield side keen on La Liga youngster.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a list of potential January transfer window targets and chief among them is Spanish midfielder Isco. The talented Malaga starlet could be the latest player to leave the cash strapped La Liga side and Brendan Rodgers is said to be an admirer of the former Valencia man.
Santi Cazorla and Salomon Rondon were sold to Arsenal to Rubin Kazan respectively and now 20 year old midfielder Isco, who has been compared to Cesc Fabregas, is the latest La Rosaleda asset who could be sold to help ease the financial crisis at the club.
Liverpool offloaded a number of midfield options over the summer with the likes of Charlie Adam, Alberto Aquilani, Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez all leaving Anfield as Rodgers looks to streamline his playing staff whilst also moving towards a more youthful squad.
20 year old Isco is a regular in the Spanish Under 21 set-up and has been named in the senior squad but it yet to be given a maiden cap. The intelligent central midfielder is considered one of the hottest prospects in La Liga and was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
Isco impressed in his first season at Malaga, making 32 appearances, helping Manuel Pellegrini’s side to fourth place, the
club’s best ever La Liga finish.
